The Ravenhearst series really goes all out with their puzzles, it is not easy at all and sometimes I needed to skip it which I hate doing.

Creepy, challenging game plus you learn more about the Ravenhearst story. Rated 5 out of 5 by grandmacira from My favorite of favorites I spend most of my time playing big fish games. I am retired and disabled, This game is the reason I became hooked on video games. Since I have installed windows 10 , I can no longer play the game.

Can anyone help me get it working with windows 10? Rated 5 out of 5 by jlbenn26 from The Standard By Which It's an old game now but you wouldn't guess it! I played it 8 years ago as my first HOPA entry, and just played it again last week, and it was the same thrill. The story can be fuzzy at times, but when isn't it, right? But it is an excellent looking and sounding game. It's an older game so you aren't given Difficulty options. Everything sparkles but the game definitely does not hold your hand.

There's no 'Maybe I should move this' or even 'I wonder what fits into this space.. There's no task list but the game does use a journal that keep notes for you. Live actors are used, and there are no cutscenes to sit through. The HOS are on the challenging side, much harder than standard fare games. Puzzles include tiles, logic, inventory, connect the wires without crossing any, and finding clues strewn about that if you miss you won't know what to do.

You also don't need to read entire books in this game, so if reading journals in a game turns you off, RTR could be a great choice for you. There are little jokes and funny things everywhere, a lot of which actually made me laugh, which is nice for a change. They call these games 'creepy-lite' and I guess that's a good description- it's kinda creepy but also somehow kinda funny. I think RTR is at least worth a demo if you enjoy these types of games. It's a huge improvement over the first one, which was just HO and assembling torn images.

It's a labor of love and, I think, set the standard. The Big Fish Guarantee: Quality tested and virus free. No ads, no adware, no spyware. Get the latest games, special offers, and more! Underneath rocks within the cave, a letter is discovered written by Madalaine Ravenhearst where on June 4th, she states that she had written numerous letters with no response and that she's growing worried about her safety. She also writes that their father has passed after his battle with pox and she begs for Emma to return home for she cannot manage the farm without her assistance.

In another building, the detective is able to operate an elevator further down into the series of caves. Within the caves lies a telescope that seems to be ancient and unused for a long time which the detective is able to use to figure out a number code. Also within one of the levels is a rusty grate which the detective is able to open.

This leads him to the decomposing remains of Rose wired up to some sort of contraption. Solving the puzzle, the spirit of Rose raises from the corpse as she is finally free.

She asks the detective if they've seen her daughters, begging them to free them as well. Once done, the detective is able to unlock yet another door. As they proceed, the spirits of two little girls ask the detective if they've seen their mother as they miss her.
