Reinstalling Creator Asked by louise44 , May 23, It seems I am getting further away from getting it to work at all again. There has to be some reason why it will not install. You'll have to do a clean install again followed by sp4. You may also have to delete out net framework 3. Roxio will reinstall it. Clean install instructions for Creator and on Windows Vista.

Creator sp4. If you use a registry cleaner or your AV has one then be sure to have it by-pass Sonic and Roxio entries after you get a good installation. I have also downloaded Creator sp4 but that will not load until you get Creator installed. I have tried that about 6 times now. I have also uninstalled Net Framework 3. I have also tried doing everything in safe mode and Creator will not install at all.

You get a different error message right away when in safe mode. Have you added or updated any software since the time that you had Creator working? Have you changed or added any hardware other than your HD since the time Creator was working correctly?

No I have not added any new hardware or software. My laptop has not been changed since it was bought new. All I have done is a reformat and I used the factory disc to do that. The programs that I have loaded were the same as I had on before when Creator was working just fine. Ok I turned the user accounts off. Then I disabled all my start up items. I then performed the clean install instructions for Windows Vista.
